In this section, you will learn how to delineate the watershed using GIS. By doing so, you will be able to use GIS to easily find the area of irregular shapes. The watershed is all of the area that will drain to your point of analysis. The area (watershed) you will delineate will be essentially the highpoints or ridges around the point of analysis. You should start at the point of analysis and draw along the ridges until you return to the point of analysis.
