    1. Zoom in to lake watershed as discussed in earlier steps

    2. In “Editor” toolbar Left Click “Editor” drop down menu → Start Editing

    3. If additional window appears, just select “Start Editing” (if window does not appear, ignore this step). The map is now ready to edit

    4. In “Editor” toolbar select “Task” drop down menu → Create tasks → Create New Feature

    5. In “Editor” toolbar select “Target” drop down menu → “Delineate Watershed”

    6. In “Editor” toolbar select “Sketch” icon (pencil). There should now be a circle with a crosshair

    7. Start at the pour point and delineate the watershed by left clicking for each vertex. In this step it helps to use the roller on the mouse to zoom in and out and pan in all directions by pressing it down. Try to add as many vertices as possible to make the watershed boundary accurate, but don’t worry if it is not perfect the first time through. We will make adjustments to it in the next step if necessary

    8. To close the polygon, double click the starting point

    9. Click the “Clear Selected Features” button in tools toolbar

    10. In “Editor toolbar” select “Task” drop down menu → Modify Feature → Select “Edit Tool” button (next to editor drop down menu)

    11. Select the polygon that was just created that represents the watershed boundary

    12. Move cursor over a highlighted vertex → left click and drag to adjust the shape (if necessary)

    13. To insert a vertex move cursor over desired spot without a vertex and right click → “Insert Vertex”

    14. To remove a vertex move cursor over vertex and right click → ”Delete Vertex”

    15. In “Editor” toolbar Left Click “Editor” drop down menu → Save Edits → Stop Editing

    16. Adjust the outline and fill symbols of the layer as needed
