I. e. i. Opening the "Tools" toolbar

We need to open a toolbar named “Tools” that will allow us to navigate spatially around the graphical data. Just like with Drafting software or a Word Processing program ArcGIS comes with its own tools to further enhance what can be done.
In this exercise, you will:
  • Customize your accessible functionality
  • Add the tools toolbar to your interface

  • I. Open the “Tools” toolbar by Left Clicking “Views” and select Toolbars

  • II. Left Click “Tools” from the drop-down menu IF it is not currently turned on (Toolbars are on when a checkmark is shown to the left of the toolbar name in the list, also the toolbar may have already been added)

  • III. The “Tools” toolbar is now added to the view. Drag it to an appropriate location on the screen


    • This may not be necessary if the tool bar has already been previously added
