I. c. i. Adding a Single Layer

This program allows us to choose the layers we want to add to our map.
In this exercise, you will:
  • Use the standard toolbar.
  • Navigate a file systemp.
  • Add an external data layer.

  • I.Left Click the “Add Data” button in the “Standard” toolbar

  • II.Navigate to the downloaded “GIS_Layers” folder .

  • III.Select the layer named “Water Bodies” by left clicking it.

  • IV. Press the “Add” button

(Note: The layer is now added to the ArcGIS view and is shown in the box entitled “Layers” with a checkmark in the box to the left of the layer name, signifying that the layer is shown in the map view)
