II. c. i. a. Changing the color of a layer

Let’s turn our attention to map presentation. The default color scheme is not ideal, so we will start with adjusting colors. We want the rivers to look blue, the roads to look gray, and so on
In this exercise, you will:
- Navigate layers properties
- Adjust the color scheme of a layer

Method A
- Right Click the layer’s name
- Select Properties
- Locate the “Symbology” tab
- Left Click the “Color Scheme” drop-down menu (the rectangle in the symbols section)
- Select the appropriate color from the scrolling menu or select the color drop down menu
- Press “Apply to Preview”->OK
Method B
- Left click the symbol below the layer’s name
- Select the appropriate color from the scrolling menu or select the color drop down menu
- Press “Apply to Preview”->OK
(Note: Lines are difficult to see unless they consist of bright colors)
