A few calculations are now needed to compute the cost of delivery and the cost of the material for the project.

In this exercise, you will:

Calculate the number of loads of material needed at the construction site.

Determine the total cost for delivery of the material.

Compute the total cost for the project.

i. Determine the number of trips needed for the project.

(Needed volume) * (Estimated tons/Unit volume) =Tons of material needed

(Needed tons) / (Weight of material able to be hauled per load) = Number of trips

ii. Determine the cost needed for delivery of the material.

(Number of Loads) * (Delivery Cost per load) = Total cost for delivery

iii. Determine the total cost for material and delivery combined.

(Total cost for material) + (Total cost for delivery) = Total cost
