VI. e. Determining cost of the project
A few calculations are now needed to compute the cost of delivery
and the cost of the material for the project.
In this exercise, you will:
- Calculate the number of loads of material needed at the construction site.
- Determine the total cost for delivery of the material.
- Compute the total cost for the project.
Text Version:
Determine the number of trips needed for the project.
(Needed volume) * (Estimated tons/Unit volume) =Tons of material needed
(Needed tons) / (Weight of material able to be hauled per load) = Number
of trips
Determine the cost needed for delivery of the material.
(Number of Loads) * (Delivery Cost per load) = Total cost for delivery
Determine the total cost for material and delivery combined.
(Total cost for material) + (Total cost for delivery) = Total cost
