So, lets locate where the construction sites are. On a map these are going to be shown as a point. In reality its an area, but for our decision making process we can represent this as a big dot or star, symbols can be changed and colored too!
In this exercise, you will:
  • Give construction sites unique names.

Make the “Construction Sites” point layer show the construction site names unique:

    1. Right Click the layer name -> Properties -> “Symbology” tab

    2. Left Click the “Categories” name in the “Show” box to the left

    3. Left Click “Unique Values”

    4. In the “Value Field” drop down menu, select “Const_Proj”

    5. Left Click “Add All Values”

    6. Press “Apply to Preview” -> OK
