Underneath are the rocks and geology that we build on. So, it makes sense to see what parent materials are located where... We usually use an earthy color to show the different geologic units, try that!
In this exercise, you will:
  • Change your geology colors to those based on rock types.

    Make the “Geology” polygon layer a multi-colored layer based on the rock type. Right Click the layer name >> Properties >> Symbology tab >> Left Click the “Categories” name in the “Show:” box to the left >> Left Click “Unique Values” >> In the “Value Field” drop down menu, select “GENTYPE” >> Left Click “Add All Values” >> Apply to Preview >> OK
