  • Insert a scale bar to the layout
  • Select the appropriate scale bar units

    1. Go to “Insert” -> Select “Scale Bar” -> From the “Scale Bar Selector” box select an appropriate scale bar -> Click the “Properties” button -> Select the “Scale and Units” tab -> Select the Division of Units = Label Units = desired units (miles) -> OK -> OK
