IV. i. Join the Frequency Table and the Clipped Texas Tract Layer

The join command is similar to the intersect tool, but adds the layers together based on the geometry of one layer, instead of all the layers involved. By doing this the values of the frequency table will be available to be combined into the census tract layer.
In this exercise, you will:

    1. Right Click on the Cencus_Clip

    2. Scroll to Joins and Relates >> Click Join

    3. Click you want to “Join Attributes from a Table”

    4. In the drop down box 1, select FID as field you want to base the join on

    5. Select the Frequency table as the table you wish to join from drop down box2

    6. Select from drop down box 3 that you want to use OID as the field from the table to base the join on

    7. Click Ok
