IV. f. Use the Frequency Tool

The Frequency tool creates a table from the input layer combining data based on a given field, for the additional fields selected. The frequency tool is combining the ozone values within a census tract, so that the value is all weighted based on the value of the ozone intersect and the amount of area taken up by the ozone grid area.
In this exercise, you will:
  • Use the Frequency Tool to build a frequency table

    1. Open the Statistics toolbox inside the Analysis Tools

    2. Double Click Frequency

    3. Input Table should be the Intersect Layer

    4. In the Frequency Field(s) box click FID

    5. In the Summary Field(s) click OzContr and 8HrOzContr

    6. Click Ok -> Close
