Adding a new field to the Ozone Concentration Layer, and calculating values within. Creating new fields within a data layer allows you to create your own calculations with supplied data, or possibly adding your own identification process to the data set.
In this exercise, you will:
  • Use the Add Field Option

    1. Right Click on the Ozone layer

    2. Click on Open Attribute Table

    3. Click Options -> Add Field

    4. Name the new Field 8hr

    5. Choose Double as the type

    6. Have the Precision be 18 and the scale be 3

    7. Click Ok
